The Creative Journey

Picture
We live our work. Our creative projects have taken us to Hollywood, Broadway, and many stages and screens in between. We have rubbed elbows with more names than we could possibly drop and we've done enough production grunt work to fill several books (just as soon as those confidentiality clauses expire). And when it comes down to it, we've found that raw, original work is what we love making. Whether it's a new work or a fresh take on a classic, our goal is to forge a unique path of inspiring works.

From   the   beginning

Where   we   are   now

Kathleen and Bren met in the Silverlake District of Los Angeles when Kathleen interviewed Bren for a position at a venue where Kathleen hoped she and Bren could create original productions. They hit it off and Kathleen extended a job offer to Bren. However, while Bren took the weekend to think it over, the venue eliminated the position. It was an awkward conversation when Bren called Kathleen on Monday to accept the position, and the two went on their separate ways (Kathleen's role at that venue was similarly eliminated). A year later, they were finally able to work on a project together and the Fireflower seed was planted.
After working on a few projects together in LA, Kathleen and Bren decided to join forces professionally and personally - moving to the Austin, where they were married and began developing several projects. With breaks to plan the wedding, attend to family emergencies, work meaningless day jobs, and fly to California and New York to work on outside projects, they tilled and watered the foundation for what would grow to become Fireflower Productions. From this soil, seedlings began to sprout and there are now projects growing in LA, NYC, and Chicago, with room to sow more wildflower seeds as Fireflower Productions grows.
